Show Rules

MahiWe encourage anyone who loves fishing to apply to be on the show, but before you go off taping your entry video here's a few things you should know.

1. Applicants must be age 21 or older with a current passport valid through the show taping.

2. In cooperation with the IGFA, World Record Fishing Challenge will use the IGFA Hall of Fame to produce the last show of the season. WRFC will also incorporate the IGFA representatives from each country to help in the catch weigh in at each port, as well as use the local observers, if available; to judge each angler according to IGFA standards.

All approved catches will be sent to the IGFA headquarters for final approval of world records.
WRFC appreciates the IGFA’s desire to make this a fair and equal challenge. WRFC encourages anglers to visit www.IGFA.org, and to become a member to support the future of our fishing worldwide.

3. Applicants can apply by submitting a short video(less than 3 minutes) of themselves fishing with an explanation of why they should be on the show.

Submit your video to our World Record Fishing Challenge YouTube Channel

What are we looking for in a video? We want someone with a personality that loves to fish. Tell us why you love fishing and why you deserve to be a part of the Fishing Challenge.

4. Applications accepted via email should include a photo and a brief, 300 words or less, explanation of why you deserve the opportunity to be on the show.

The only advice we can give you is to be creative. Make your submission stand out in a sea of contestants.
